The rules for using techlash.fyi and its paid plans, in plain language.
techlash.fyi is run by Hawthorn Strategies LLC, 2930 N Williams St., Denver, CO 80205 (“we” or “us”). When you use the site or buy a subscription, you're agreeing to these terms with Hawthorn Strategies LLC.
By using techlash.fyi, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy notice. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. When we change these terms, we update the date above, and we email paid subscribers before a material change takes effect. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
The map, every page on the site and the published data files are free. You're welcome to cite and share them with credit to techlash.fyi and a link where you can.
techlash.fyi compiles public records, news and other public sources into signals and scores. We work to get it right and publish our method, but the research can contain errors, miss events, or cover some places more thoroughly than others. Everything on the site and in our emails is general information. It isn't legal, financial, investment or other professional advice, and the decisions you make with it are your own.
Paid plans deliver daily email reports filtered to the products, categories, kinds of signal, places or districts you choose. Plan features and prices are on our Subscribe page.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also covered by the Paddle Buyer Terms.
Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly unless you pick another billing period at checkout, and renew automatically until you cancel. Paddle calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT that applies. You can cancel at any time through the link in your Paddle receipt or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your alerts keep running until then. If we change a plan's price, we'll email subscribers at least 30 days before the new price applies to them. Refunds follow our Refund policy.
Whoever buys a Team or Enterprise plan is responsible for the teammates they add and for staying within the plan's limits. An Enterprise plan may come with its own written agreement, which governs wherever it differs from these terms.
Please don't use techlash.fyi or its emails to:
We own techlash.fyi, its design and software, our scores and summaries, and the way the data is compiled. Linked sources belong to their owners. These terms give you permission to use the site and your subscription, and they don't transfer ownership of anything.
We aim to keep the site and emails running every day, but we can't promise they'll be uninterrupted, on time or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering a paid plan, we'll tell subscribers ahead of time and refund the unused part of their current billing period.
We may suspend or end your access, including a subscription, if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails, if your account poses a security or fraud risk, or after repeated or serious violations.
To the extent the law allows, the site, data and emails are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site or emails, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Colorado law governs these terms. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Denver, Colorado, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.
